What you will need:
U.S. Passport – You must provide your signed passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have a blank page available.
Ethiopia Visa Application Form – Please provide a completed visa application form. Because the application changes on occasion, we’ve provided a link to the Ethiopia Embassy website so you may get the most recent version directly from the Embassy website. The application form must be filled out completely and have answers for all fields. It must display your full name as appears in your passport, and it must be signed.
Washington Express Visas Visa Request Form – filled out completely.
Photograph – Please provide one color, passport size photo. The photograph must be printed on photo paper, it must be 2″ by 2″ and have a white background, and it must have been taken in the last 6 months.
Copy of your airline ticket or travel agent itinerary.

A business letter of introduction from your company (on company letterhead) addressed to the Embassy of Ethiopia stating the purpose of travel, the name and contact of the company in Ethiopia you’re visiting, and a financial guarantee for all of your expenses. A letter of invitation from your host company in Ethiopia addressed to the Ethiopian Embassy and explaining the purpose of his/her travel.
Visa Approval Letter from Ethiopian Immigration. The host company in Ethiopia should request the approval letter from Ethiopian Immigration on behalf of the applicant.
US Officials or Diplomats traveling with Diplomatic, Official or Service Passport must bring an official letter from US State Department.

Visa Issuance:

On arrival: if required, visa can be issued to nationals of U.S.A..(SEE NOTE 32360) NOTE 32360: Fees depend on type of visa and length of stay.
On arrival: if required, to holders of the Identification Card of Foreign Nationals of Ethiopian Origin. (SEE NOTE 32360) NOTE 32360: Fees depend on type of visa and length of stay.
On arrival: if required, to participants to UNECA (United Nations Economic Commission for Africa) conferences and meetings held at the U.N. conference Center in Addis Ababa provided holding a Letter of Invitation issued in his/her name.
